Promoting student wellbeing

It is possible that you will have students in your class groups who seem to be struggling with their work. Part of encouraging learning is encouraging students to identify and acknowledge learning difficulties. It is unfair to expect sessional staff members to take on difficult issues or problems, though many do a lot of important initial work in encouraging students to find help. Rather than thinking you should be able to tackle all conceivable problems and issues, you should instead be aware of the Monash support services for students and staff:
